Thick Chair Mats I Need A THICK 1/4 In+ Clear Plastic Mat. 10 Ft X 10 Ft. Where Can I Find One?

I need a THICK 1/4 in+ clear plastic mat. 10 ft x 10 ft. Where can I find one? - thick chair mats

Mats are used similarly as in a chair and table, only much larger. I have a daughter who is quadriplegic and use a lift to see Invacare floor from his chair to his bed and vice versa. Her bedroom is equipped with a thick carpet and the wheels are going to use the tracks in the carpet and makes it very difficult to move the elevator with her.

I am a technician to adjust and help people with this kind of thing at work.

Only on the basis of available information, I have some ideas.

1. Replacing the carpet in his room. It is cheaper and more functional than carpet. Purpose of a Berber carpet, or even better, wood or laminate flooring. I understand that resistance to this, but if you see functionality and then rapidly that the thick carpet are not friendly, people with disabilities. (Also, the timeline of the room with plastic sheeting, which is better?)

2. Imagine flying in an elevator. Not cheap, super, but they are great at home. It could be covered by Medicaid in your state.

3. My favorite source of plastic semi-rigid and rigid is http://www.usplastics.com. One thing we quickly noticed that most of the plastic sheet is 4'x8 'available. They need to be taken will receive a virtually unbreakable plastic, to the use of the tensions that we avoid discussing or Lexan polycarbonate. Only 48 "x96 "x1 / 4" Lexan costs $ 265.82 (http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/product ...

When you consider the idea for the rug, remember that the lift is now operational, as if mounted on foam will get a lot of material to compress and transfer the weight of the carpet under the mat. This seems very, very dangerous for me.
